TRAVELING

1.        We take JAL from JFK Airport to Kansai International Airport, Osaka.  Usually the plane leaves around one o'clock in the afternoon(NYC time), so we will be in Japan around 6-7pm their time.  It takes 13hrs and 35 mines to go from NYC to Osaka. (Reminder:  Japan is 14 hours ahead of EST time in US.)

2.    After taking care of immigration and customs, we'll check into a local hotel for the night.

3.    The next day, we will get on the train to Nara, where we will spent 3 days there to look around and shop.

4.    Then we will get on the train to Kyoto, we'll spent 4 days there.  Reminder, Kyoto is famous for many different types of crafts!

5.    Then we'll take the train back to Osaka and wait for our flight.

Optional Travels

    If you're going to visit Kyoto and Nara, why not go visit Osaka?  After all, you will be passing through.  Even Tokyo, both these cities have an international airport.  A trip from Tokyo to Osaka costs about $90 by bus.

    You can stay at Osaka for few days.  After Osaka, you can go to Kyoto, then Nara, and from there take the bullet train to Tokyo.  Stay at Tokyo for 2 or 3 days and then take the plane home from Narita International Airport.  A trip to these 4 cities will a two week trip rather than one.
